World Vision
Our Safari
Well we are back in Dallas for a few days. As you can see from the pics from our safari we had some exciting moments.
We also had some really touching ones.
We got a chance to meet a child named Emmanuel Tembo that Shane B has been sponsoring through World Vision for about 10 years.
It was an amazing experience. His family was so grateful, but we where the ones who were truly blessed.

As we walked around villages with thatched roofs and hand formed brick walled houses we were given a glimpse into a simpler place.
A place where people in a community really need each other to survive. A place where long conversations with the family living next door is the perfect night out.
I have never known a place like that in my urban sprawl but, it was amazing to see here in Zambia. Imagine a life with no gismos or gadgets to occupy and entertain us the 18 hours a day we have to consume. We might actually have to talk to someone, ahhhhh!!!! I know I am being a bit over dramatic but it really was an amazing glimpse into the lives of people full of joy and hope. Joy and hope in a place that to us looks utterly hopeless. Make no mistake, they need help, training, education, and medicine but they have love and each other. The way life has been happening for thousands of years with no prime time TV, no 24 (I love Jack Bauer!). Anyway, our trip was amazing and I recommend going. See the world if you can, go and tell the good news to all people, all nations, you might just get a great God glorifying picture of Christ’s beloved!
We sure did, God bless,

A Well that WV built.

We were painting these kids nails with some glitter nail polish.
They loved it.
