Behind The Song “Running To You”

“Often, in the business of life, we forget what Christ has done for us. Our eyes begin to drift from the truth, and before we know it, we can believe a thousand lies about who He is and who we are or aren’t. This song was written to remind us who we truly are and what we have because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. ” –ShaneB

You are so right! I think it may be the thing we actually do best sometimes. I really don’t want to do that anymore and I can say that the only thing that keeps me from that horrible, debilitating mistake at any given moment is to saturate my mind with His word, day in and day out.

I enjoy this song so much! First I came across “Yearn” on Nutsie.com, searching for amazing altar music for my church. Then I had to hear the whole album, which I promptly bought. I’ll be watching for Northern VA area (Woodbridge — Hylton Memorial Chapel?) concert dates to appear. Meanwhile, Running to You, Praise Him and Yearn will all become familiar to our congregation. God bless you for sharing your gifts for the Kingdom.

Hello, well I bought this CD last Tuesday when you were at Epiphany Fellowship, Philadelphia. I love Running to You.. What blessed my soul today, is that I was singing(and dancing ) to this CD after services at Epiphany Fellowship and my youngest daughter(who has been wandering from Christ) was in the room.I was not sure she was listening until we were leaving out and she said,”I like that music.” Next thing you know, she was jumping out the car, singing “Jesus is the Way.” My soul magnifies the Lord!!!!
