Victory!

My Daughter birthday is coming up on the 19th and my wife and I decided on getting a swing set. I saw this one at Costco and thought this doesn’t look to difficult so, I purchased it in 6 boxes. 2 full days later with some significant help from good friends, we did it! Joey, James and Dan ended up saving me from not only injured pride but utter defeat from huge stacks of wood and hardware. If you decide to ever build one of these make sure you have help. I started to do this by myself and I would say this in hindsight, “IT CANNOT BE DONE!” So take a couple of Days off with some friends and family and go to work. It really was a good time. We will unveil the structure on Tuesday the 19th! I cant wait.

    Congrats…we did that 2 years ago and still laugh at the instruction manual that said “6 hours” for building time. 2 1/2 days later, we had a swingset! Btw, tell Shane B. happy birthday for us!

    Shane… that looks AMAZING!!! haha, since i’m chinese, when i was her age, my presents were like electronic circuit sets… which led me into engineering undergrad, and eventually an engineer… but then i left to go to bible college here w/ Professor Francis Chan :D good job man! keep up the good work!

    Hi Shane- I hope you get this comment. =) I will be traveling from South Korea to Missouri and am praying to be able to make a detour because I want to see your show in Charleston.

    If I may be so bold… is there a way to meet you both (and hopefully Bethany too) afterwards? It would be a blessing.

    I built one very similar from costo one time. My boss thought i would be able to get it done myself in one afternoon. 40 hours and help from another guy later the project was complete and i vowed never again! Now i have two girls, so maybe i’ll be wrong again.
