Where Did My Voice Go?

rocker_grandma
If you talked with me on the phone this would have been your mental picture!

I have never really lost my voice fully before until 2 days ago when I woke up and I could not speak. Weird!!! I guess that is not completely true I could make sounds but I could have been compared to a 90 year old woman. So funny. I have all these contractors coming over b/c I just moved in to a new house and I sounded like a lady. Humbling. I went to the doctor and they gave me a shot in my bum and things are getting back to normal around here. I am happy about the recovery.

No More Boxes

Just bought a new house and I once again have a place to lay my head. I love it, and I hate it. If you have ever moved you must know what i am talking about. I think the older you get the more stuff you accumulate. I have things that should have been tossed years ago. Pray that I will not just stuff, “STUFF” in a closet, but that I will throw things away!!! Why is that so hard? I have clothes that would not fit me if I tried, oh wait, i did try and it was not pretty. Its time to donate some goods!!!! So to all the movers out there tell me there is hope, a light at the end of this cardboard tunnel. I hope to see you all on the other side.

New Venture and Ministry!

the_oaks

Over the past few years God has really been stirring our hearts to disciple and train the next generation of songwriters and worship leaders. God has blessed our ministry and given us opportunities we could have never imagined, and we feel like the time is now for Shane and I to get involved with students on a deeper level. That’s why we are so excited to announce our partnership with the Oaks School of Leadership. The heart of this school is to develop leaders for ministry, and we will be working together to teach, train, and disciple student leaders in the area of worship. We have been praying for an opportunity to share our resources and experience in mentoring relationships, and we feel this opportunity is an answer to those prayers.

We are currently looking for students to join us this year in our internship program through the Oaks School of Leadership. Students in this program are enrolled in fully accredited college courses while receiving practical ministry training and experience. This internship program will give students the opportunity to learn the art of songwriting, write their own music and collaborate with others in the songwriting process, record music in our studio, and minister in a local church, the Oaks Fellowship. If you feel this is an opportunity that fits the call of God on your life, we’d love to talk with you about joining us this fall.

We will be holding auditions for this internship program at the Oaks Fellowship in Red Oak, Texas on May 30th and June 27th. If you are interested in being a part of one of these auditions, please go to www.oaksleadership.com and sign up. You can also get more information by calling 888.937.7248. Thanks to all our friends, family, and fans for your support, be praying with us as we step into this new opportunity God has given us.
