New Song – Take One

We are writing for the new record. You guys mind being guinea pigs? This is a poor performance but you get the idea. Its Called, “Everything Is Different.” Have a listen and let us know what you think.

If you are coming to church on sunday we will hopefully do a better job.

Great song. Love the big harmonies on the second verse. I love hearing the title of a song, trying to figure it out before hearing the song, then being blown away with what the song actually says.

Thanks for posting the song! It’s cool to get to hear this kinda stuff on the blog (which by the way, you guys have been doing a great job with). The song sounds really good, too. If that was a poor performance, I’m ready to see the good performance, because that sounded pretty darn good.

Who am I to see Your glory?
Who am I to recognize Your voice?
And how could I be in Your story?
God Who was and is and is to come
    Who has won!

I was dead in my sin
    You came in (YEAH!)

You made a way when there was no way
covered heaviness with garments of praise
you wrote a song and you’re singing it over me
i feel a dead heart beating now
this revelation makes me wanna shout
    that JESUS has been sent!
    And EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT!

    You turn ashes into beauty
You are for me not against me now
    You turn mourning into dancing
you turn weeping into a joyful noise
    REJOICE!

    What manner of love
    That You would call us
    Sons and daughters
    Oh we cry Abaa Father
    Halleluia, halleluia, halleluia
    Our God reigns

  • emily

awesome song, guys! love the lyrics. i always love the sound theology and doctrine that is found in your lyrics. the music is always incredible, but the lyrics are what makes the declaration about our great God! and to know that He always backs them up…thanks!

good song. Two things about it:

    1. different from your previous style which is GOOD. It’s a fresh direction which is always a good thing
    2. I like that BOTH of you were looking at the words of the song.

but anywho… you guys are great. I hope the record turns out great!

  • Amy Marquardt

Speaking of the new record, have you thought about putting the song “Cisterns Broken” (or “Tell Me Why”, not sure of the title) on the record: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACJ5xENe7bs

    I really love that one.

  • Madison W :)
