Ear Candles Cause Brain Damage?

ear_candle

Beth couldn’t hear very good, so we did what any logical suburbian family would do… Ear candles? Yes. crazy candles you stick in your ears. It is supposed to create a wax vaccum, (mission accomplished!!!) but I am pretty sure it sucked out the bottom left portion of her cerebellum!!! I was tempted to post a picture of what came out… But, I want you to return to our blog:) have a blessed day!!!

this made me laugh out loud — remembering a search all over Tulsa for ear candles because either E or B was sick… and nearly burning down some building on the ORU campus about 4 minutes before the concert started whilst trying to suck ear wax out of Shane’s head. long time ago. gt’s go’s.

It actually works? Google says otherwise.

    But i’m tying it anyway.

And what exactly is simmer’s ear?

  • Amanda

Swimmers Ear.. Like what you get when you’ve been swimming. Water gets trapped in your ear and grows bacteria. The ear wax is what keeps water and bacteria from getting in there and when you dont have any you get SWIMMERS ear. Hurts. Not a fun time.

We did this with my brother a lot when he was younger!

That’s awesome! When my husband and I were visiting my brother and his wife in Minnesota we did the whole ear candle experience as well, and of course the pictures ended up on Facebook. So Bethany, I feel for you.

(Oh, by the way, my husband and I are having our first child in October and we’re going to name her Bethany! It’s always been one of my favorite names)

God bless you and your endeavors.

(Saw your concert tonight in Memphis, it was the first I’ve gone to, what a great worshipful time it was! Thanks!)
